...ryan's rim hunting...

yesterday, i went ryan's rim hunting with my brothers - Jemi and Baby Adik...we went to 7 tyre service centres all around Klang...this is actually my birthday present for myself...yeehaaa!yeay...yeay...

my brothers have helped narrowing down my options...thank you guys...we went looking for 17" Honda Type R white-coloured rims / Advanti Maze-R (with blue-coloured side lips) / Advanti S Limited Edition (copper-coloured lips) / Lenso alloy wheels...

my brothers' dream rims will always be the OZ ultraleggera series...we found out that second-hand OZ rims costs at least MYR3K++/set...

anyway, here are the outcome:

initial rim

new rim

...my handsome afnan najmi...

Last Thursday, I was shocked to received an unexpected SMS from Abie at around 12.30pm telling me that she's on her way to PCMC...Ohh emm gee...I dialled her number and we had a little quarrel as she yelled at me not to bother...Hey, darling, what do you expect?!!Am I going to be okay not worrying you're being sent to PCMC?!!And the reason given for calling me in the first place was just to inform?!!Haha...As if that was sooo true....I've made my decision and I'm not gonna miss my chance...

I quickly took 'Emergency Leave' and I called Adif...Luckily I caught him while he's on the way back to PCMC after getting the necessary things for labour from home...

I waited anxiously and Adif picked me up at Tower 1 around 1.40pm...We arrived at PCMC nearly 2pm...By that time, Abie's bag of amnion water had been cracked and she told us that she had taken an Epidural injection...

It was lunch time but Abie had no appetite...Only a portion of fresh fruits, a little bit of mushroom soup and a half piece of energy bar...Adif went to pray while I accompanied Abie to have a small nap...

Approaching Asar, I went to the praying room...Now, leaving Adif to watch on Abie...When I return, Abie has awaken...She had her tea...I made a small cup of hot Milo and gave her sandwiches to munch...My mama called and spoke to Adif...

At around 530pm, I saw that the real-time contraction plot has become quite aggressive and rapid...the nurse kept asking whether Abie felt any pain...ohh, no...no pain at all...

I was asked to wait outside at around 610pm...okay then...

Abie's family from Gemencheh arrived nearly 630pm...I greeted them and my mama called again...This time, she chatted with Cik Leha...I took Abie's sister to the praying room...

When I return back to the maternity ward, Abie still had not delivered yet...So, Cik Leha went inside the labour room...Abie cried...Aiyooo sweet darling...

Next, I went to check on Abie...This time, she yelled at me not to touch anything - don't touch her, don't touch her bed, don't raise my hand, be still, be still...Haha...Abie was like,"Ehh...Jangan jangan...Aku tengah sakit ni~~~" I wished her luck and went outside...

At 9pm, Adif's family from Alor Setar arrived...Yeay...

Not so long after that, we heard Afnan's crying...a loud one, really...yeay...

it took nearly 40 minutes for the PCMC staff to clean the mess before allowing us to celebrate our new bundle of joy - Afnan Najmi...

I guess I'm the 5th person to hold Afnan right after Adif, Abie and both the grandmothers...ooh...i'm so in love with my handsome prince...and the best part is i'm the one who captured his first smile...lalalalalala...

to Abie - I'm so so proud of you...like the note that i've scribbled: Afnan Najmi is bound to be as SPECIAL as you are, and that's as SPECIAL as anyone can get...

And this poem is especially dedicated to you Abie:

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after you’ve had a baby…

that somebody doesn’t know that once you’re a mother, “normal” is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by instinct…

that somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring…

that somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver’s permit.

Somebody said if you’re a “good” mother, your child will “turn out good”…

that somebody thinks a child comes with directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said “good” mothers never raise their voices…

that somebody never came out the back door just in time to see her child hit a golf ball through the neighbor’s kitchen window.

Somebody said you don’t need an education to be a mother…

that somebody never helped a fourth grader with his math.

Somebody said you can’t love the fifth child as much as you love the first…

that somebody doesn’t have five children.

Somebody said a mother can find all the answers to her child-rearing questions in the books…

that somebody never had a child stuff beans up his nose or in his ears.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labor and delivery…

that somebody never watched her “baby” get on the bus for the first day of kindergarten… or on a plane headed for military “boot camp.”

Somebody said a mother can do her job with her eyes closed and one hand tied behind her back…

that somebody never organized seven giggling Brownies to sell cookies.

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her child gets married…

that somebody doesn’t know that marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a mother’s heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother’s job is done when her last child leaves home…

that somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so you don’t need to tell her…

that somebody isn’t a mother.

p/s: Mama, i LOVE you...

...happy sweet 18...

Last year when I turn a quarter of a century, I received a lot…I was bedridden…I was cared and loved by mama…thank you mama…friends came and visit…relatives came and visit…thank you All…for showing clearly to me the meaning of eternal love…I was blessed…I am thankful…I received encouragement…I finished my studies…

alhamdulillah…a great gift from Him…I cherished my life more…I received lots of love and love and magic

hence, it’s time for me to return the favour…it’s time for the joy of giving

I give to feel happy…a bliss to me…a rewarding feel…

Thank you so much to all my everdearest family members, girlfriends and boyfriends…there are abundant memories of this year’s birthday celebration…I chose to summarize then…

My celebration started on 17 April 2009 where I had my pre-birthday lunch with retentate at Imperial Chakri Palace…we laughed, we gossiped and we ate merrily…Durian Tempura was simply marvellous...

I don’t really know why on my birthday eve I became so tired and sleepy…I dozed off at around 11pm…and was surprised when No14 gang woke me up…they sang to me…and I had my wish…and I blew a candle…we had 2 cake slices – Secret Recipe’s Banana Chocolate and Cheese Chocolate…and we took pictures…

Early morning on my birthday, No14 gang and me went to Prince Court Medical Centre…Harni had an appointment at the Oncology Department…

We spent nearly 2 hours at PCMC before we moved on to our next agenda – Levi’s Family and Friends Sale at Dewan Bakti Siti Hasmah, TTDI…we spent almost 2 hours there too…I didn’t bought anything…Harni and Suzie did bought something…

Our next stop was Wangsa Maju Carrefour where we had our lunch…I get my free birthday meal combo at The Chicken Rice Shop…Yeay…

After lunch, it was tudung hunting for me…

We stopped by at the Levi’s Factory Outlet store…and guess what, I accidentally bought a new pair of jeans…the price difference is only MYR10 as compared to the price offered at the warehouse sale we’ve just visited earlier…lerr…

Back at home, I hastily went out again to rebind my pearl necklace and double bangle…

At around 630pm, we were busy preparing for the night’s most awaited function: my smashing birthday dinner…

Date: My birthday
Time: 0815 pm onwards
Venue: Tony Roma’s Pavilion KL
VVIP: Me
Lovely Girlfriends (LG): Beebee, Suzie, Harni, Yati, Pipah, Farrah Iz, Mai, Yus, Nor,
Mimi, Farah, Etai and Iza
Theme: Vogue White (All) Lady In Red (Me)

We had a very fantabulous (fantastic + fabulous) dinner…the food were awesome…everyone had great time updating gossips…and eating...

the best moment was during the cake event…the TR staff came in line bringing my birthday cake and they sang out loud together with my lovely girlfriends…then, my LG continued to sing an Indonesian version of birthday song which sounded like ‘Panjang Umurnya…Panjang Umurnya~~~’ (hermm…I just don’t know the whole lyrics – it was my first time ever hearing that)…the next thing I knew was that I was asked to stand on my chair…owh…okay…and the TR manager, Dave gave me a piece of straw used to blow my 8 candles from a distance of about 1 metre…I had my wish…and yeay…I managed it…hahaha...

What I had written on my birthday cake: Aliza, Happy Sweet 18 (first line) followed by April 2009 (second line)…hahaha…get my point?!!!

Along the course, we were photogedixing as usual…am awaiting for the pictures from Beebee and Yus…will post it here later…

My memorable dinner ended around 11pm…the best one, really…I heart all of you…

finally, thanks to all who had the thought, who happens to wish me via SMSes, MMSes, e-mails, phonecalls, chats, who gave me wonderful gifts ( I’ve got 3 birthday dresses, GAP birthday vouchers + membership, a 1000pcs Cinderella’s Castle birthday jigsaw puzzle, 7 birthday books, 12 birthday cards, 3 birthday chocolates)…

My best birthday gift ever: the joy of giving and YOU *wink*wink*

...weekend thrill at the peak...

i just came back from my genting trip with happening, fun friends...thank you so much...so so loving our great moments together... it all began yesterday afternoon after Beebee and me finished our half-session Bakti programme...at around 12 noon, Hasanul came and pick us up at Beebee's home...while waiting for Afiq, we went to the bank and 7 Eleven for our tidbits...Afiq arrived nearly quarter to 1pm...so, we decided to have our lunch first...

we went to Leha Kelfood Restaurant at Taman Melati...Hasanul had his Mixed Rice while Beebee opt for Nasi Kerabu...Afiq and me chose Mee Celup...I also enjoy my favourite dessert there - Lompat Tikam...ermmm...nice!So did Afiq who enjoyed his favourite Akok...

we reached the Genting Skyway terminal around 230pm...it was my first time taking a ride on the skyway and i was amazed...i'm not afraid of height but was informed that the skyway operated in Langkawi is frightful due to the fact that there is water surrounding below it as compared to the greenery side of Genting Skyway...okay...anyway, it took us nearly 20 minutes or so to reach the top of Genting Highlands... we then went to check-in to our rooms at First World Hotel...again, i was impressed with the system...it felt like being at the airport or bank...we took our calling number and wait for our turn to register...there are 30 open counters that serves about 6000 rooms...wow...

we settled in our rooms and were very lucky to get connecting rooms...Beebee complained of the small room offered to us...this was based on her comparison with the rates offered by Theme Park Hotel...yet i think that we just have to be satisfied...after all, we came via promotional coupons...

after done with our prayers, we went out to play...yeay...we don't have any pre-planned activities...it was just go and dive for it...lalalalalala...happy happy...
we went to the First World Cinema and got ourselves Premium Tickets to watch The Fast & The Furious 4 at 9pm...next, we went to the SnowWorld...again, we were on the lucky side as the next admission time was scheduled at 530pm and we were just at the right timing...we spent the rest of our 30 minutes waiting time for posing session at the Indoor Theme Park...
inside the SnowWorld, we were a bit disappointed with the snow...it was chilled in there but the snow was like crushed ice...it was way too far from what i imagined snow were like...Hasanul and Afiq who had experienced the real snow confirmed this too...we couldn't play snowballs as the "snow" can't be molded into balls :(

but, we still had great fun...we went for the Snow Xtreme ride - a bumping tube ride down snow slide...and we went inside plastic igloo...Beebee and me went down the children' slide...we also took pictures with the Polar Bear and Panda Bear and ice sculpture...

exiting SnowWorld, we went back to our rooms for a quick shower...we went out again at 7pm to have our dinner at Kenny Rogers Roasters...everyone had the Kenny's Quarter Chicken Meal except for me...i picked on the new promotional item - Kenny's Balinese Baked Cod Fish...there were many incidents in which earned us an extra muffin...

since we have plenty of time before our movie was screened, we went for a walk outside to get the feel of the breeze...and we also went for sightseeing at the Songkran Thai fair booths...
actually, when we were purchasing our movie tickets, we were interested with the OSIM seats but we rejected the deal knowing that they were placed at the 1st row...the cinema was okay - not too cold, seats are not that comfortable, a slightly lower cup holder, the quality of visual is average & so does the sound system...however, the Fast & The Furiouss 4 was awesome...macho Vin Diesel and Paul Walker...yeay...i would rate it at 4.83 stars...however, the story this time around does not portray a lot of good looking cars...although i found the plot of the race and the intensity of fast cars were exciting...the story was dramatic, really...and guess what, not so sexy laa...

after the movie, Hasanul went back to rest leaving the three of us...Beebee, Afiq and me then went to the Arcade...

we also took a walk to the Highlands Hotel...and we went to several retail outlet stores just to window shop...and we did what we did best - photogedixing...and finally, we had our supper next to the Gondola channel...we had cold Manjoos (soft cake like 'bahulu') and Beebee had a Nasi Lemak...

we conclude our day at nearly 1am...

this morning, our day start at 9am where we had our breakfast at Marrybrown Restaurant...and today is where the real fun begin as we went to get our Genting All Park tickets...yeay...happy happy happy... at about 10am, we had our first ride - The Flying Jumbo...hahahaha...so cute...i took on the 'Gajah Putih'...weee...don't know what happened to Afiq and Beebee as both their elephants stay at the low side...
the next ride is the Tea Cup sponsored by Ribena...we got the light dizzy feel from here...

then, we move on to our first adrenaline injection...we had our ride on the 1st Malaysia's Roller Coaster - Cyclone...yeehaa...after that, we went for the High Flying Swing...
we walked to the lake and saw a long queue at the Cycle Boat as well as the Bumper Boat station...hence, we decided to go back to our rooms as we were approaching our check out time...
we then went to put our things at the locker near the escalator at First World Cinema...from there, we moved to entertain ourselves at the Indoor Theme Park...we went to drive a lefthand side Junior Bumper Car...and then followed by the Ohmega Turn Roller Coaster...this was an all-out laughter coaster ride...after that, we had a slow ride on the Ferris Wheel...
we thought to have our lunch at 12pm but everyone did not feel hungry yet...so, we move on to have a ride at the Gold Mine Runaway Train...next to it is the Sungai Rajang Flume Ride...so, it became a double adrenaline pleasures...yess....

at about 1pm, we had our sumptuous lunch at the Thai stalls...I had Tom Yam Kuey Teow, Afiq had Tom Yam Mee, Beebee had Tom Yam Meehoon and Hasanul had Thai Laksa...we also had a generous portion of Som Tam, Mango Kerabu, Fried Shrimps, Seafood Kerabu and Otak-otak to be shared among us...uuu...yummy yummy happy...

after lunch, we decided to take again a slow ride on the Monorail to get the overview of Genting Theme Park both outdoor and indoor...after the monorail ride, we intended to ride on the Flying Dragon coaster but were turned off as the entrance is quite far and the time seems to be jealous...alternatively to keep our adrenaline level at bay, we went for the Ohmega Turn Roller Coaster ride for the second time...the best thing was this time we got to experience being at the last coaster...yeay...

we then continue to play GoGo Ball - tossing balls game machine at the Arcade...our accumulated tickets amounting to 202 redeem points where we got a keychain each worth 50 points...happy happy...

we rushed to the Genting Skyway station at around 4pm...we bought our tickets and then went for a tea time at Baskin Robbins kiosk...we shared a Double Berry Waffle Sundae - a 2 scoops (BoisenBerry & Royal Mousse Chocolate)...

we safely descended to the terminal at nearly quarter to 5pm...

it was raining semi-heavily on our journey back to KL...and i felt grateful our day at Genting was blessed with a very fine weather...

what i missed then? the extreme rides - yess...anyway, considering my sternum, i wouldn't dare to take the risks... ABPBH?!!! we do saw some celebrities around - JoeFlizzow, Eizlan Yusof, one of Senario member and Datuk K without Siti...huhuhu...

there goes my happening weekend thrill at the peak...

pictures courtesy from Afiq and Beebee...
till then, i am happy and happy and happy...

...cloudy season...

after nearly half of the months of March was full with excitement, I’ve come to realize the swinging factors involved…thinking rationally, I would accept that life must be lived like this…

I went through a lot and always go with the flow…I follow my instincts and I desire to achieve the very best my life possibly can offer…

am I greedy? but, I bet I am grateful…

I just need to hold on strong…people tend to despise me suddenly and it really hurts my heart to some extent…but, I don’t have the control of the other party, am I?

I try to balance out by channeling my sorrows…

how how?!!

here comes the solution...
I guilt-freely went shopping with Harni twice…

really enjoying it…got myself a nice leather sling bag, a new street shirt for my Genting trip and new lingeries…that was during last Sunday @ Midvalley Megamall…

our second shopping spree was yesterday night where I bought a new dress and jeans for my upcoming birthday celebration…yeay…

we even brought my hyper nephew – Afif…he gave honest opinions each time I changed…he even laughed and pointing fingers…one of his line went like: “Cik Ja tak buleh button ke?!!Cik Ja gumuk laa~~~”

but, once I’ve found the right one, Afif gave me two thumbs up and said: “Cantikkk!”

he got his lucky treat then – a McDonald’s Happymeal and a yellow Shell Ferrari car…

ohh yaa…this week I went for another movie outing too…this time with Mas and friends (Jun, Aida, Izral & Razif)…we watched ‘The Confessions of a Shopaholic’…whoa…so so me…loving it…my rate would be 4.66 stars…

not forget to mention, also on last Sunday, I attended Zie’s wedding together with Mai…we met Jaja, Anan, Aini & Izan there…Zie was very cute…as well as her hantaran gifts which include sportshoes and sporty FILA handbag…so sweet and again I would say, cute…

...i wish...
