...my dream wedding...

i've just arrived home from Sentuhan Kasih programme (will be updated later) when suddenly this particular subject was brought up by Harni...we talked among us and i would say that i'm unarguably a rather picky person (agreed by Yati)...to summarise our discussion, i chose to answer as frankly as i could the tag coming from Yus's blog and Harni's too...so, here goes:

1. how old are you? 25 years, 4 months and 25 days old...

2. are you single? yup...

3. in what age do you think you’ll get married? i'll get married before 18th April 2013...insyaAllah...5 dream wedding reception dates available until then: it will be on 1st January (mark your calendar,okay!)

4. do you think you’ll be marrying the person you are with now? i'm happily single as of now...not looking but am hoping to meet an understanding soulmate...(note the keyword - understanding)

5. if not, who do you want to marry? i want to marry a Malay guy (pure,no Javanese), who prays 5 times/day, age ranging between 23 - 30yrs, financially secured (have income), non-smoker, matured in the way of thinking, who LOVES me more than i love myself...i don't go for looks...as long as 'the one' seems clean and act like one, that's just fine, really...

6. do you want a garden/beach wedding, or the traditional wedding? i like the idea of a garden wedding reception - a small gathering for invited friends in the park...the solemnization will definitely accustomed in the traditional way...

7.your ideal motif? a simple white, lace modern kurung for solemnization...an elegant semi-gown dress (pastel colours - not decided yet) for reception - Cinderella wedding...my beau will be wearing a suit...no songket...

8. where do you plan to go on a honeymoon? Hong Kong Disneyland

9. how many guests do you think you’ll invite? my own list of invited friends will be about 400+ but the number of guests will probably reach 1200+

10. do you want an extravagant wedding or a simple wedding? unmistakably a simple yet memorable to me...

11. do you want the traditional vows or something you’d make up on your own?? obviously according to the Sunnah...Ijab & Qabul of course...

12. how many layers of cake do you want to have? no cake cutting ceremony...so, i don't feel the need of a cake...

13. do you prefer having your reception at a hotel or at a simple place? my home sweet home...

14. when do you want to get married, evening or morning? solemnization in the evening (after Maghrib on 31st December) followed by wedding reception on 1st January...

15. you’d rather have your reception outdoors or indoors? outdoor yaa...

16. do you like a grand entrance for your groom? there's no need for any gimmick as the solemnization took place in the evening and me & husband will just have to be ready for the reception on the day after...it's just like we are welcoming our guests during reception... typically, i don't need to receive the visit from the groom's side...

18. name the song/tune you’d like played at your wedding?? my collection of romantic love songs...

19. are you a morning person or a night person?neither? morning person...i'm always be the early bird...

20. do you want a solemn ceremony or a light one? a light one...

21. what age do you want to get married? ideal would be 27yrs old 0n 1/1/11 with hantaran of rm11111 and maskahwin of rm111...hahaha...

22. describe your ideal husband/wife. similar as answers for Q5...

23. do you prefer fine dining or just the normal spoon & fork/knife? no cutlery...prefer to eat with my right hand...

24. champagne or red wine? ribena please...or fresh watermelon juice...

25. honeymoon right after the wedding or days after the wedding? right after the wedding...yeay!

26. money or household item? i heartily grateful in receiving both...

27. who will pay for the bills? TBD...

28. are you ready for married life? no comment...

29. do u think you will still be a virgin until u get married? yes...

30. will u always be true to your wife/husband? yes...

31. how many kids do u like? unlimited...3 at the least...

32. a new house for a newly wed or an old one? planning to buy a land and build our dream home...

33. will u celebrate silver wedding, gold wedding, or diamond wedding? will cherish every single moment of our being together...(no need to save for such so-called grand event)...

34. what kind of cuisine would u like for ur wedding? Kelantanese delicacies...yeay...main course will consist of plain, white rice with percik chicken, land gravy beef (daging gulai darat), banana's heart salad (kerabu jantung pisang), singgang ikan tongkol, grilled ikan kembong and flour-soaked fried squid (sotong goreng tepung)...not to forget sambal lada with tempoyak and budu...desserts will be glazed pumpkin (sira labu), tapai pulut and ketupat palas...sirap selasih as drinks...

35. will u record ur honeymoon in a cd or dvd? i don't think so...

36. whose wedding plans would you like to know next? all my beloved single and not-so-single friends: Bearbear, Cipah, Fadilah, Faiz, Hana, Limau, Mell, Peche, Salwa, Shera, Shon, Shue, Thiong, Yana, Ili, Beebee, Suzie, Mimi, Yati, Etai, Iza, Pipah, FarrahIz, Nozie...
