...aina's besday - my MSc thesis - baby adik's room...
Later in the evening, I went to submit my MSc thesis...I'm very grateful, thankful and proud of this :PAfter clearing up everything with UTP management and bade farewell, now I'm officially back for good...I took the bus yesterday evening and reached home at about 10.30 pm...
Hurmmm...I had missed the match between Chelsea and Malaysian Choice team...Having read the newspaper this morning, it seems that our players played quite well against 'The Blues'...hoho...I've yet to see it myself...
Back to current happenings, my home sweet home is now having a renovation...It is decided to construct Baby Adik's room at the back of the house...Finally, my last bro won't be sharing room with Jemi anymore by this Ramadhan...

car dilemma
Jack?! no laa...it's not about Jack anymore...
last Thursday, i've went all the way to settle everything - with the JPJ, insurance company and the financier...
so, what's left? the dilemma i'm facing now is on getting my new beau - 'Ryan'...
i've been a widow (of Jack) for nearly 4 months now...and mind you, it's really difficult...
i used to be active getting to where i desired to...
for the past 3 months ++, i've been unable to go to 4 of my friend's wedding receptions...i've been missing PBPP events...i've travelled home by bus...and one thing for sure, i miss driving like really really crazy...
hermmm...what would 'Ryan' be?let's go and have some reviews:
this is proton persona...my mama said this car is good enough for me...i've had a ride on my cousin - Saz's...basically, it may be okay...the most affordable option there is...the only thing is that i never fancies local cars...my thinking is i'm going to pay for nearly 7 years and i'm always having this doubt of problems that will arise within 2 years of owning a local car...Shin Chan is a different story though, since he is the 1st generation Kancil - MIRA 660 AT...now, Shin Chan is already 12 years old and still strong :)
thus, it is decided - no local cars for Liza...
no MyVi, no Viva, no Kelisa, no Kenari, no Kancil, no Kembara, no Nautica, no Savvy, no Gen2,no Satria Neo, no Saga BLM, no Wira, no Waja, no Iswara, no Perdana, no Sutera, no Forza, no Bestari...
this is Toyota Vios...Kak Intan is having her 6-yrs old Waja to be replaced with this car...Vios is a sedan and i considered sedan to be a family car...it doesn't suit me in terms of style...furthermore, Pak Cik Shah & Mek Jee are also using this car...isn't it obvious that Vios is intended for a family?it doesn't mean that i'm not considering that matter in particular...the right time will come eventually...
this is Suzuki Swift...2 of my besties - Mimi & Apih had this...it is quite nice and smooth...but, apparently i've noticed at one time when this car was parked next to a Kelisa and guess what...both looks quite similar...oh no...
this is a glimpse of the new Honda City to be launched globally in November 2008...so, it may arrive in Malaysia in early 2009...the front design is trying to imitate Accord...as i've mentioned, i'm not a fan of sedan cars...but, in this case, it is considerable...as for current City, i don't like the rear butt...
now, this is the car i'm really excited about...the new Honda Jazz which is expected to be launched in August 2008...the design is more rounded - quite like A-series Mercedes...after many many considerations, i might settle for this one as 'Ryan'...i'm not sure yet...i just love to dream...like what my Abema said to me,"Berangan bukan kene bayar pun!"

victory
yeay...finally i've successfully lifted off the tormentous burden of my IP...my oral presentation early yesterday morning went really well...my supervisors: Prof Dr Birol M R Demiral and Pn Faiza M Nasir were superb and really encouraging...my internal examiner: AP Dr Chow Weng Sum was very gentleman and my external examiner: Prof Dr Abu Azam was a funny and considerate guy...
the whole event took about 25 minutes...it makes me wonder why and how i made it so quick?!!
huhuhu...thank you Allah!
my session was scheduled at 9.00am...i'm the second presenter...since the first presentation ends at 8.40am, the chairman: En Elias has called for me to proceed earlier...ergo, with my charm and convincing persona, i confidently deliver all-the-craps-i-don't-understand-myself-but-hoping-that-people-believe-in-my-work...i just felt lucky...haha...
i went on and on rambling on many many intelectual jargons...my secret weapon is the strategy of stressing on 'My' labels...i took credits for almost everything by simply putting the powerful 'My' word...the concern became My concern; the idea became My idea and etcetera...this is the power of manipulating...it surely works...yes!
in the middle of my presentation, my two lovely housemates came by to support me...thank you...really appreciates that...mind you, i think this was the 4th time for miss Intan listening to my educated junks...
i'm glad that i survived the Q & A session...i got about 5-6 questions...i don't provide straight-forward answers...i nodded in agreement when my supervisor was backing me up...when the panels were arguing, i joined in to show that i'm interested...
at one time, according to miss Intan, i had accidentally choked and reflected ,"Haa!" due to the shockness from one of the question...miss Intan and miss Aini giggled in their seats and prayed...
i truly believe that honesty is the best policy and admitted my feebleness...Prof Dr Abu Azam later commented, "That's very good. So, it will drive you to go further."
i just smiled...
i've been blessed...yeay...a victory for me...
this was taken right after my presentation...with miss Aini and miss Intan...
later that day, after several considerations, i packed up my things and decided to go home...i just can't bear to stay in UTP...so, there goes my journey back home by bus...
when i called my mama, she sighed, "Cekak ko kelik semace?Lamo ke mung penak...Dok dumoh ni tido jah...Dok denu je lahh...Habih peghikso, then back for good..."
owh...come on, mama..my exams are on 24th and 28th july...i have a 1-week gap...even if i do stay, i will also be tired of having no entertainment...it's not like i'm going to spend the days and nights solely just studying...i'm not a study freak...
the journey by bus was pleasant...i took the direct bus from seri iskandar to klang...it stopped in ipoh and trolak...
when i was about to reach my hometown, i got an interesting call...jengjengjeng...it was from a guy currently doing his PhD in UTP...i was informed that he's reviewing my FYRP thesis...it was about 'Jet and Pool Fire Risk Models'...i felt ecstatic...lalala...i've never thought that what I did 3 years ago will come this long way...now, this guy has made me realized that i'm someone...yeay...i like this feeling...i think so too...another victory for me!

...deadline or dateline?!!...
the correct term for one of my IP stress factors is deadline...
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
A deadline is a time limit...
A dateline is a short piece of text included in news articles that describes where and when the story was written or filed, though the date is often omitted...
A typical newspaper dateline might read:
Klang, July 5 — The outlook was uncertain today as ...
ohh yaa...yesterday (since it's already past midnight), while waiting for the breaking fast time (sunat 1 rejab), i had browse through Life's Like That section in the latest issue of Reader's Digest and found this particular item hilarious:
it's pineapple and apple :P - courtesy of Mr Meempat Muralidhar
here goes:-
after a number of attempts to get the customer service agent on the phone to understand his name, my friend Appappa decided to spell it out.
"A for apple," he began. " P for pineapple, P for pineapple, A for apple, P for pineapple, P for -"
the flustered agent interrupted. "I have a better idea," she said.
"Just tell me how many apples and how many pineapples."
Hahaha...LOL...

time stress
actually i'm planning to update my blog once i've presented my IP...that is tentatively on 16/07/08...
i've been dedicated my whole time here reviewing and reviewing and reviewing journals...
the more i read, the more confused i became...
this has led to time stress...
time stress here refers to my behavior in coping with the deadline...or is it dateline?
i tried to utilize my time by going with the flow...i count the days, progressing one step at a time...and yet, because there is no significant improvement, my motivation has dropped slightly...
now, my strategy is to save myself from being killed during the presentation...
i've realised that my IP objectives cannot be met...
i've only 14 days before the final report submission...minus weekends, it means 10 days only...
i'm planning to frequently meet with my co-supervisor...
however, she's also busy...
this week, our meeting will be on Thursday...
this means, i'll be only given 5 days next week to show some enthusiasm...
currently, i'm at the loose end...
ya Allah...
i'm hoping for some miracles...
hopefully my IP is acceptable...
again, time stress - i don't really bother with it now...
some people might hope that they have more time to fix things as in my case...
but the truth is, i wish that the time flies sooner so that i am free from the said stress...
i don't know exactly why i don't care much about my IP...
perhaps because i don't really like the topic...
i just want to pass...
that's all really matters...
